Description: Kayak, Hike and Zip, a truly unique jungle experience on the pristine private lands of Princeville Ranch! Enjoy beautiful Hanalei Mountain views as you approach the secluded Kalihiwai Stream. Kayak through a serene rainforest valley steeped in tropical sounds, scents and sights. Tie up and hike deeper into the ranch, negotiate several stream crossings and arrive at the spectacular Uluhe Fern Ridge. Here guests 12 years and up and 65 to 280 pounds have the option to ride TWO magnificent, 400+ foot zip lines and connecting bridge over a pristine twin waterfall and swimming hole. Those not zipping can watch or walk down to this idyllic spot. After zipping, you can jump, swim, float on inner tubes, enjoy a delicious freshly prepared meal and relax. Kayaking is beginner-level and total kayaking time is approximately one hour, round trip. Hiking is moderately strenuous, includes multiple stream crossings and is approximately 2 hours round trip. Total tour time is about 4.5 hours. Come meet the real Hawaii on this new North Shore eco-tour!*
Operates:Monday-Saturday in Morning check in 8:30am departs 9:00am return 1:30pm
Afternoon check in 12:30pm departs 1:00pm return 5:30pm
Departure Point: Check in half hour prior tour at Princeville Ranch Hiking Adventures Office one mile past the Princeville Airport on the ocean side of Kuhio Hwy 56 (just past the 27 mile marker) follow the signs.
Duration: 4.5 hours
Equipment: Two Zip Lines and all necessary gear.
Capacity: Minimum of 4 to operate maximum of 10 per tour. Groups up to 15 can be accommodated with advance reservations.
Inclusions: Experienced guides, picnic lunch, backpack use, dry bag use, and personal floatation device. Guides are CPR and First Aid Certified, well educated on Hawaii's history, flora and fauna. Guides also carry cellular phones, first aid kits and lunch.
Menu: Choice of Grilled Chicken Breast or Veggie (bean puree) Wrap with Shredded Carrots, Red Bell Pepper, Bean Sprouts, Romaine Lettuce, Maui Chips and Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Exclusions: Wear: Close toed shoes, light, comfortable clothing with swimsuit underneath, towel, change of dry clothes for after the tour. What To Bring: lots of bottled water, sunscreen, hat, hair ties, mosquito repellent and a rain poncho.
*Restrictions: 48 Hour Cancellation Policy 72 Hours for Groups of 6 or more. Change Policy incurs a 10% Fee. Guest not meeting restrictions at check in will not be permitted on the tour and no refund will be given. Tour age limit is 5 years old and up and in good physical condition. Zip Restrictions: Ages 12 and up, minimum of 65 lbs and maximum of 280 lbs. and be of average or better physical fitness. Not recommended for people afraid of heights, no expectant mothers and no recent injuries or surgeries. 16 and 17 year olds can go on tours without an adult BUT a parent or legal guardian must physically check them in at the office and sign a liability waiver.
