Description: All rides begin with a riding orientation and safety briefing, then your small group, riding at a comfortable walking pace will explore and venture into the isolated interior of Kalihiwai and Kamookoa ridge for breathtaking close-up views of the Makaleha mountain range. Tours pass through an eighty-acre tropical garden where over 150 different species of palm trees thrive. Wind your way along the peaceful Pohakuhonu stream lined with ferns and hibiscus blossoms, or the rushing Pookaele stream that feeds our featured waterfall pool. This is a leisurely trail ride along winding streams thru lush foliage and wild guava. *
Operates: Daily: September-May at 9:00am or 3:30pm
Summer Schedule June-August at 9:15am, 11:30am or 3:30pm, check in 30 minutes prior
Departure Point: Silver Falls Ranch, located between Kilauea and Princeville.
Duration: 1 and 1/2 hours
Equipment: Well trained and groomed horses

*Restrictions: Riders need to bring: Long pants and close toed shoes. Riders must be 7 years old and up, in good physical condition and under 220 lbs. Riding helmets are required if 14 years old and under. Seniors (over 70) must be in strong physical condition. Weight limits are as follows: 170lbs not less then 5' 3", 180lbs not less then 5' 5", 195lbs not less then 5' 7, 210lbs not less then 5' 9", 220lbs not less then 6' 0".
