Description: Riders travel in a four-wheel drive van into historic Waipi'o Valley - ancient Hawaii's "Valley of the Kings". Then it's time to mount up on your horses and delve deeper into the valley's interior. The horseback trail ride takes a leisurely pace, along the valley floor and lasting for about 1 1/2 hours. Guides narrate as you meander through lush jungle trails, through streams and rivers. You'll see dramatic 1200-foot waterfalls, taro patches, lotus ponds, wild horses and exotic plants and birds all along this exploring adventure.*
Operates: Monday-Saturday 1:00-3:30pm
Departure Point: From Honokaa take Hwy 240 to just past MM 8 take right fork for about 1 mile down the road on right hand side, look for building with blue umbrella. (Waipio Valley Artworks) Allow about 2 hours from Kona, about 1.5 hours from Kohala Resorts or Hilo and 2 hours from Kona.
Duration: 2.5 hours total, 1.5 hours on horseback.
Equipment: Well Trained and groomed horses
Capacity: Minimum of 2 riders

Exclusions: No snacks or drinks are provided but there are saddlebags to put your own in.
*Restrictions: All participants must sign waiver before their ride. 230 lbs maximum weight - no children under 8 years old - NO pregnant women and must be in general good health.
