Description: Safari Van Tour ascends to the top of Haleakala Ranch at the 6,500 foot elevation where you begin your bike tour down the Western slopes of Haleakala Volcano with 21 switchbacks. Full bi-coastal panoramas of the Maui Central Valley with photo stops along the way. No host lunch and rest stop at Sunrise Market and Flower Farm, then coast through the Kula forests. Safari Van Tour from Pukalani featuring the history of Maui's Sugar and Pineapple Plantation Days.*
Operates: Daily, 7:00am may vary with season.
Departure Point: Meet at the Maui Downhill Baseyard, 201 Dairy Road in Kahului (across from Borders Book Store). Times vary with season.
Duration: Tour time is approximately 4.5 hours
Equipment: Custom built single speed cruiser bicycles with non-fail drum brakes and comfortable cushion seats. The newest and strongest poly carbonate ventilated helmets, lightweight all-weather gear and insulate waterproof gloves.
Capacity: 13 passenger vans
Inclusions: Bike and necessry gear.
Menu: No host lunch stop at Sunrise Market and Flower Farm.
Exclusions: Wear warm clothing in layers and close toed rubber soled shoes.
*Restrictions: 48 Hour Cancellation Policy - All riders must sign Acknowledgement of Risk and Safety Form. This tour is not for beginners or pregnant women. Must be at least 5 feet tall and 12 years old and competent riders. There may be a 280 lbs weight restriction. Bring a light jacket, close toed rubber-soled shoes and sunglasses are required. Trip is weather permitting.
