Description: This Safari includes Maui Downhill round trip transfer from hotel or condo. Includes a Continental Breakfast of Pastries, Juice and Hot Beverages served at the Base Yard in Kahului followed by a deluxe and informative van tour of Haleakala National Park. From the crater rim enjoy a stunning view of Haleakala's cinder cones and volcanic features 2000 feet below. Tour Haleakala National Park and visit the House of the Sun Visitor Center at the Rim of the Crater. Leaving the National Park begin your bike safari at the 6500 foot elevation level. Enjoy a no-host rest stop for snacks and meals at Sunrise Market and Flower Farm, then Bike through eucalyptus forests and the upcountry community of Kula with its beautiful lavender farms and jacaranda tree-lined roadways. Your 38-mile-luxury downhill bicycle/van tour combo concludes with a safari van tour from Pukalani to the sea with information and history of Maui's Sugar Cane and Pineapple Plantation days.*
Operates: Daily with pick up starting at 7:00am and return around 3:00pm (times vary with season)
Departure Point: Hotel/condo pickup and return
Duration: Tour time is 8 to 9 hours
Equipment: Custom built single speed cruiser bicycles with non-fail drum brakes and comfortable cushion seats. The newest and strongest poly carbonate ventilated helmets, lightweight all-weather gear and insulate waterproof gloves.
Capacity: 13 passenger vans
Inclusions: Includes pick and return to your condo/hotel, a Continental Breakfast and No host rest and lunch stop at Sunrise Market and Flower Farm.
Menu: Continental Breakfast of Pastries, Juice and Hot Beverages will be served at the Base Yard in Kahului. No host lunch stop at Sunrise Market and Flower Farm.
Exclusions: Wear warm clothing in layers and close toed rubber soled shoes.
*Restrictions: 48 Hour Cancellation Policy - All riders must sign Acknowledgement of Risk and Safety Form. This tour is not for beginners or pregnant women. Must be at least 5 feet tall and 12 years old and competent riders. There may be a 280 lbs weight restriction. Bring a light jacket, close toed rubber-soled shoes and sunglasses are required. Trip is weather permitting.
